Customer Support

How can I get support with my order?

Please email us at RyzeSupport@abetterblind.com with your order number. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am—5:00 pm. You can also call us at (305) 623-4855. It is helpful to have pictures and/or videos and include them in the email.

Shipping and Ordering

When can I expect to receive my order?

Typically, production time takes between 3-5 days to custom build and an additional 2-5 days for shipping. So, we estimate you can expect to receive your order anytime within 5-10 business days.

What shipping carriers do you use?

Our products are shipped via UPS and FedEx.

Do you ship to a P.O. Box?

Sorry, no. We do not ship to PO, APO, or FPO boxes.

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, we only ship our products within the United States.

How do I track my order?

We email all tracking information to the email listed on the order within 1-2 business days after shipping.

Is it possible to change my order after submitting it for processing?

We attempt to accommodate our customers as much as possible and one of our goals is to expedite orders as efficiently as possible. That’s why we send an order confirmation within the first 24hrs., just in case a correction needs to be made before the order proceeds to production. Once confirmed, changes cannot be made.

Do you charge sales tax?

Yes, we charge sales tax.

Returns and Warranty

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

Every case is different, but customization requires specifics that are tailored to each customer. We will assist in trying to find a solution, but we cannot refund any products made to order. Please refer to our return policy for more details.

What kind of warranty do my shades and motors come with?

All our products come with a 1-year limited warranty. Please review the Sunryze warranty page for more information.

How do I file a warranty claim?

On the rare occasion that a product is defective under the warranty period, please send an email to RyzeSupport@abetterblind.com. Please include pictures and/or videos if necessary and have your order number ready.

Installing and Measuring

How do I measure my windows correctly?

What is an inside mount and an outside mount?

Every window has a frame. An inside mount attaches your shade to the inside of that frame, flush end to end, while an outside mount attaches outside the frame, extending beyond the frame itself. Doors and shallow windows typically call for outside mounts.

Does A Better Shade do installations or come out to measure?

Unfortunately, we do not. However, we have many partners through our extensive networks across the country. Please email RyzeSupport@abetterblind.com for help finding an installer near you.

How do I install my shades?

Do you provide hardware such as brackets and screws?

Yes. All our products come with factory grade screws, fasteners, and components to complete the installation of your shade.

Operating Motorized Shades and Products

Which shades can be motorized?

When you’re in the market for shades, you have to decide, do you want to do manual control or go motorized.  Let’s face it, some budgets or projects have other priorities. We know and we care. When you buy our Sunryze Shades, motorization is an option left on the table, without the hassle of paying for a new shade or having an installer make new holes or take new measurements. Your time is valuable and we don’t want you to have to go through the drawn-out process of changing window treatments. With the Sunryze Shade, you have the option of ordering it with the Ryze motor now or down the line. And, in under 20 minutes, turn old, new again.

Do I need a remote control for my motorized shade?

We recommend that you have one remote or wall switch per room for your motorized shades.

How many shades can I control with a remote or wall switch?

It’s up to you how many shades you want to control with your remote or wall switch. We recommend one shade per channel, however you can group shades on any channel if you wish. Our handheld remote has 16 channels and the wall switch has 6. The maximum number of shades per channel is 25.

What is a channel?

Channels refer to a controlled frequency used to organize your motorized shades. You can program one shade per channel or group a whole room of shades. You can configure to suit your needs on demand.

What is the difference between a motorized shade and one that is smart home automated?

The easiest way to control your shades is via remote or wall switch. However, with our Ryze Gateway Hub, you can use smart home automation and access your Sunryze Shades from anywhere in the world.  This equips you to control them from your phone in our app and even put your shades on a schedule.

How are motorized shades powered?

Our Ryze Motor uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that is easily installed in your Sunryze Roller Shade. Our motor will fit any Sunryze Shade between 20-96” in width.

How do I know when to recharge my shade?

A full battery will last around 330 cycles (one up and down operation a day for 6 months). When the battery is running low, you will notice the motor slowing down or not responding to commands. The easiest way to monitor your battery is by adding our hub so you can see charge levels in the app. Our Ryze Motor uses a USB-C charger. No need to take the motor out of the shade to charge, just plug in the cable to the charging port on the motor. Our USB-C charger comes with 10ft cable so you can reach your shade easily. It takes 8 hours to fully charge the motor.

Can I use an app to operate or program my shades?

Yes. If you download our ABB app, you can access your shades whether at home or away. You will need our Ryze Gateway Hub and a password protected Wi-Fi network.

How can I set my shade using the remote?

Please refer to our instruction guide here. Each shade can be programmed with either the handheld remote or wall switch. It’s easy to set the limits of the shade and even change speeds or set a favorite position.

Cleaning and Care

Do you carry replacement parts?

Yes, we do. We honor all warranty covered components. We also carry replacement parts, for a fee. However, after warranties expire there is the possibility that some parts may be discontinued.

How do I clean my shades?

We suggest dabbing with a moist towel or magic eraser and mild soap as an effective way to deal with dirty smudges or spots. Dabbing is key and try to avoid scrubbing. You can also use a handheld vacuum and pass over the shade gently.
